About Us

Pack 145 in Richboro is made up of approximately 50 cub scouts from first through fifth grade. We are assigned to the Playwicki District of the Bucks County Boy Scouts.  Pack 145 serves mainly Churchville, Maureen M Welch, and Richboro Elementary schools in the Council Rock School District but welcomes cubs from all elementary schools. The pack is divided by age level into five dens.

Here's some basic information on Cub Scouting from the Boy Scouts of America organization:

What Is Cub Scouting?

Cub Scouting is fun! no matter what grade you are in, 1st through 5th, it can be a blast. Do you like to learn by doing? This is just the place. You can learn to tie knots, set up a tent, shoot a bow and arrow (archery). Have you ever cooked a meal on a campfire? Sent a secret code to a buddy? Built a bird house? Played Ultimate Frisbee? Hiked? Earn rewards for doing these things in Cub Scouts.

Cub Scouts Belong to Pack and Den
As a Cub Scout you will be part of your own pack.
The pack is divided into smaller groups called dens. All of the Cub Scouts in your den are in the same grade and may even go to the same school.
The Cub Scout pack belongs to a church, a school, or some other group of people in your community or neighborhood. This group makes sure your pack has good adult leaders, a place to meet, and exciting things to do. The group gets help from the Boy Scouts of America, which is part of Scouting around the world.

Cub Scouts Do Things and Go Places
Have you been to the local Police Station and talked to the policement on duty? Or visited the Fire Station and sat in the drivers seat of the pumper truck? Or visited the local tv station and sat in the news anchors chair? These are some of the places you might go with your den or pack.

You might also: Build a Pinewood Derby car and race it on the track or build a sail boat and race it in the raingutter regatta.

Cub Scouts Earn Awards
Each time you complete an accomplishment or learn a new skill you will be rewarded. Sometimes the reward is a bead or a patch. Some times it is a smile on your parents face to see you grow and learn.

Congratulations Pack 145 Families!

Due to generosity of whole pack with Council’s Friend’s of Scouting campaign, Pack 145 is recognized with Gold Card status

This means we are entitled to free weekend camp, and discounts at Scout store.  This will help with upcoming scout year for additional exciting events and offsetting Pack subsidy of Pack costs, which get passed onto events as savings to families.  Keep up good work and look forward to another exciting scout year.  Don’t hesitate to tell friends and neighbors with kids about our Pack, as any help with recruiting and volunteering for events ultimately gets passed onto our sons as a positive and permanent Scouting benefit!
